I went to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota to earn my bachelor's degree in biochemistry. While in college, I discovered my love of teaching. I was able to be a teaching assistant in chemistry and biology lab courses, and I also tutored biochemistry and organic chemistry. I love these subjects, and I found out how enjoyable it is to share my knowledge of these subjects with students and to help them learn. When we learn something new, we come to enjoy the subject better, feel accomplished, and become excited about our abilities. I explained this to students to help them feel motivated to achieve success. I'm now attending medical school, and looking forward to tutoring students in biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, cell biology, critical analysis and reasoning skills, MCAT preparation, and more. In my free time, I like to cook, do yoga, and spend time with friends and family.
